Chris Brown thinks it is unfair how easily Jay Z was forgiven by the public for stabbing somebody.

The 'Fine China' singer, 24, who has had several brushes with the law since he assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009, doesn't know why some celebrities are able to move on from their bad reputations and wishes people would be more forgiving of his own mistakes.

The R&B star told the October issue of Jet magazine: ''No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he (Jay Z) stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.''

The 'Magna Carta' hitmaker, who previously admitted he became a crack cocaine dealer in Brooklyn, New York, when he was 13, pled guilty to stabbing record executive Lance 'Un' Rivera outside a nightclub in New York City in December 1999, and he also shot his brother, who was a drug addict, when he was just 12.

But Chris claims he is working hard to deal with his own issues, including seeking help for anger management.

He said: ''You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part. I don't try to lash out at people, or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be. I got to the point where it's only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I've taken my fair share of lashings.''

Am also guilty of not forgiving him for hitting Riri. After that epistle I squeezed him like a useless piece of paper and threw in the waste bin, to be forgotten forever. Just can't bring myself to listen to his music cause all I hear is Chris Brown beating a woman.
