Kuwait’s Director of Public Health has announced that the nation is developing homosexuality-detecting technology that it plans to install inside international airports in order to prevent gay travelers from entering the country.
The proposal will be floated before a Gulf Cooperation Council committee at a meeting on November 11.
Explained the director, Yousuf Mindkar: “Health centers conduct the routine medical check to assess the health of the expatriates when they come into the GCC countries. However, we will take stricter measures that will help us detect gays who will be then barred from entering Kuwait or any of the GCC member states.”
It’s unclear just how these gay detectors will actually detect gayness.
